HENDERSON posted by D. Bruce Henderson on Saturday, December 18, 1999

In the 1810 census for Onslow co., there was an entry for a household headed by "Thomas Henderson" and another for a household headed by "Thomas Henderson Esq". Neither of these names appears in the 1820 census. Please see the query above in regard to the court case regarding the heirs of a man called "Thomas Henderson" but also reputed to be also known as Jonas Solomon. Any info on the two families headed by "Thomas Henderson" in the 1810 Onslow census - especially any children? Thanks, Bruce Henderson, Alexandria VA (father born Hubert, NC)

BAKER, BORDEAUX, HUFFHAM, SIKES posted by Katherine Cox Thacker on Wednesday, February 2, 2000

Seeking descendants and information on John F. BAKER (d. 1767), wife Mary, daughters Emery (m. Joshua SIKES), Branela, Sarah, and Ieuicuia ???. Also sons Arthur and John. Arthur's son, James (b. 1790), married Mary BORDEAUX, dtr of Isaac BORDEAUX. Arthur's daughter, Rebecca (d. c 1836), married James BORDEAUX. A deed (1761) between John F. BAKER and Solomon HUFFHAM states John bought HUFFHAM's plantation on Black River. I believe this to be near Moores Creek. 1762 Tax List has John in St. James Parish. Contact me by email or at 5235 S. Elm Avenue, Homosassa, FL, 34448. I have lots to share.
